We spent the majority of our time at the quiet pool. Thank you Nataly for all the pre arrival help and planning! They did a great job! What a neat souvenir to take home. Thanks to the ladies that did the hat paintings. The volcanic massage was a must need and Yolanda was amazing! A few shoutouts to Victor at the Italian restaurant and to Nicholas at the Japanese restaurant. Unico, you need to hire her after she is done with her studies. She was such a sweetheart and very caring. Alexa insisted on being there for me and was there to escort me to the Dr.’s office and stayed for the entire time. My husband and I travel a lot and she is one of the best! She’s so polite and friendly. I would also like to thank Alexa and Alex at the concierge desk. He was always there for us and made our trip extra special. Every employee was very nice and friendly.Īlexander was our local host. We traveled to Secrets Akumal first to get in our snorkeling with the sea turtles then spent the remaining of the week at Unico. Wonderful resort with phenomenal service and food. We both agree that Secret Playa Mujeres is the best one so far! My husband and I have been to many resorts in the area. This resort is for someone who is looking to completely relax and not do much of anything.

I recommend this resort for a few days, but not an entire week. We are used to staff knowing our names after a couple of days, smiling and being friendly. We were quite surprised how the staff was lacking in service. The spa was very nice and treatments are overpriced, but ok. On our last day, there was a terrible seawage smell around the pools. Drinks are better at this bar and also at the Legendary members only bar and pool. It also has a swim up bar and poolside service. It can be hard getting a chair at the pool, but this pool is your best bet.especially if you're looking for someplace quiet. The nicest and most quiet one is behind 20 87 restaurant. Our room was an oceanview room and it was beautiful! Room service was great! There are a variety of pools on site. The nightclub.which also houses the shows and some activities, smelled of mildew. The best bar is Bar Balam.which focuses on crafted cocktails. The restaurants require reservations for dinner, which can be inconvenient. There are a couple of options for breakfast and a very limited late night dining menu through room service. The best restaurants are the Asian restaurant, Mura house and the Italian restaurant, MI Carisa. The food was ok.the Mexican restaurant was a let down. The resort itself is very beautifully decorated and the smell of incense lingers through the lobby. We decided to go for our 7 year wedding anniversary. My husband and I were always told how great a resort this was. With so much included, it reinvents and raises the standard of your all inclusive holiday.Expected a lot, received a lot less. The resort actively promotes guests to leave the resort and go on one of the hotel's adventure selection - explore the ruins of Tulum and Coba, a Mayan jungle tour or swim in one of the stunning cenotes dotted across this region of Mexico. Everything is locally inspired, from the food and drink to the spa treatments and products. This adults only retreat prides itself on its cuisine, offering five unique dining experiences serving gastronomic delights inspired by flavours of the region.

Unlike many others of its kind, you will feel like you are in Mexico, from the locally supplied wood and stone to the decor and furnishings across the property. Perfectly located along the white sands of the Riviera Maya, UNICO 20☈7° takes the all inclusive resort to the next level.
